Taylor and now this. Back to back stunners. Why did the Giants wait till now? And didn't the Saints offer a #1 at one point?

I am really happy about this because I picked up Kevin Boss on my fantasy team, but if Taylor for a 2nd and 6th is a huge steal, then I can't even explain how big of a steal this is for the New Orleans Saints.

I dont think the Saints had offered for Shockey. All I remember is that he wanted to go there. I think he will be happier there because they will make him part of the pass offense instead of blocking.

This is great!
The Saints get a steal on a great TE who wants to come to New Orleans and New York loses a disgruntled player. It works both ways, but better for the Saints.

Any concern over his attitude, GHG? Sure, Shockey's talented, but he's not exactly known as a team-player.

I think that was a recent development. First of all there has been a lot of friction on this team for a couple of years. And then Shockey was not happy with the way he was being used. Use him the way he needs to be used, and I believe you have your team player back.
He had his best year as a rookie when Sean Payton was offensive coordnator. He believes Payton knows how to use him best.

Thats exactly the way I'm thinking. Let him play under Sean Payton- Check.
Pass him the ball more- Not sure yet but I'm gonna go ahead and say check.
Those are the two things that Shockey wanted, and I think things will turn out fine.

This will be a real plus just in case Robert Meachem is a bust, because it will be a Dallas situation. Your #1 option is a WR and your #2 is a TE
Or if Meachem turns out to be pretty good then it will be like the Colts with 2 dangerous WR's and a star TE.
Either way is good because it will take attention away from Colston

Ya you guys can keep him. Just be sure to know that with that pro-bowl TE comes a crumbling team chemistry.

Didn't you guys when the Super Bowl last year?
Yes I realize that Shockey did not play in the playoffs but still
You had to win games to get there in the first place

Ummm did you notice the road game winning streak that the Giants went on after Shockeys injury. I felt like he was just holding that team down. What good is it to have a reciever that yells at the QB for not throwing it to him. Its a team.
