The Last time New Orleans hosted a Super Bowl was in 2002. After Hurricane Katrina, some wondered whether the game would ever return especially since it looked liked the Saints might leave.
But the Saints look to be staying. The sticking point with a Super Bowl, though, is that the Saints lease at the Super Dome only runs through 2010.

I didnt get that sense from the article. Benson mentioned getting another lease on the Super Dome.

Okay... guess maybe I'm just the suspicious sort.
I sure hope the Saints and/or the NFL don't try to hit New Orleans up for a new dome. Not yet.

It would be nice to see them be able to get one though. They are rebuilding the whole city. I would like to see them get a new stadium.

Perhaps, but I really think the money that would be needed for a new stadium is best spent elsewhere right now.

You're right and they did just spend a lot of money on the Dome.
But I have to tell you, everytime I watch a game played there, it gives me the creeps. There are too many other pictures and memories that get in the way.
