Coach Peyton considers himself a good judge of character. So when Carl Nicks and Adrian Arrington came available in late rounds of the draft, he took a chance. Most questioned their character more than their talent.
Adrian Arrington, receiver from Michigan, was arrested after a fight with his girlfriend, though domestic violence charges were later dropped.
Carl Nicks, OL from Nebraska, was arrested at a party and later suspended part of a game for missing a class.
Both players are excited about being given a chance and intend to prove they were a steal for the Saints.

If they havent ever been in any other trouble, then I'd say that Coach Payton did get a good deal on these two. They are both talented players.

I believe Arrington has had other issues. Not sure about Nicks, though.
At any rate, they do deserve a shot in the pros, and who knows. With luck they won't be the next Chris Henry, et. al.

I would still take a shot at him... I think it was a good pick...the Saints could use him.

Agreed. Arrington's chances of catching on are way better than the average 7th rounder.
