New Orleans Saints Reggie Bush

According to various media reports, Reggie Bush mania is hitting New Orleans big-time.

"As soon as I got in there, there was a bunch of fans screaming and yelling. I thought it was staged," Bush told the Associated Press Sunday, referring to a visit he make to an Emeril Lagasse restaurant. "It's been great. Everyone I've run into has welcomed me. People here are so nice."

"There's always excitement about a No. 1 pick, but this is a little different," added Saints general manager Mickey Loomis. "People chanting spontaneously ... it was a little overwhelming how excited people were."

How awesome is this for an area that had to deal with nothing but hurricane devestation for so long, only to now have a football player they can really hang their hat on. There's no doubt Saints tickets and Bush merchandise will sell like hotcakes. The question is, will he be able to deliver on the field? Can Bush and Drew Brees make the Saints a playoff contender?

Re: New Orleans Saints Reggie Bush

Amazingly, Reggie Bush managed to land on a team with a respectable offensive line and a (hopefully healthy) Drew Brees. Forseeably, the offense won't be totally dependent on the running game, which is a good thing.
And how lucky is Drew Brees? A great quarterback without question, but he goes from LaDanian Tomlinson to Reggie Bush with the bat of an eye? I think Dan Marino might take a hit out on him.

Aaah...what Archie Manning would have given for a little bit of Bree's luck...
