Greatest New Orleans Saint Of All Time

well the Saints dont exactly have a huge amount of stars to pick from like some teams ...... but they still have to have a greatest Saint

so, who is the greatest New Orleans Saint of them all ?

Archie Manning ...... Morten Andersen ...... Pat Swilling ..... Danny Abramowicz ..... or someone else ?

Let's see... I know Goth's gonna say Manning. So I think I'll throw out Sam Mills, just for kicks.

Re: Greatest New Orleans Saint Of All Time

well i may be going against the sentimental favorite here, but im not picking Archie Manning ....... instead im picking Morten Andersen

he was amazing ..... check this out

He visited the United States in 1977 as a Youth For Understanding exchange student. He first kicked an American football on a whim at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. He was so impressive in his one season of high school football that he was given a scholarship to Michigan State University.
Morten Andersen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
that's impressive right there

Re: Greatest New Orleans Saint Of All Time

Im gonna go with Rickey Jackson..

A six-time Pro Bowl selection (1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1992, 1993), Jackson recorded 10 or more sacks in six different seasons and led the NFL in fumble recoveries in 1990 and 1991. He finished his career with 128 sacks and 8 interceptions, which he returned for 68 yards. He also recovered 29 fumbles. At the time of his retirement, his 28 defensive fumble recoveries were the second most in NFL history behind Jim Marshall's 29.

Re: Greatest New Orleans Saint Of All Time

The first two names that came to my mind were Pat Swilling, and Bobby Hebert. Hebert was never a great QB, but he was a fan favorite with a cannon for an arm.

Yup!...pound for pound the most underrated quarterback to ever play...toiled his life away for a gosh awful team year after year...former draft pick of the K.C. Royals too...and father of two NFL QBs...

Plus is not like the have a lot to pick from...

Chuck Muncie anyone?

By the way Abramowicz had like 4.9 speed in the 40, but he was Largent like...

And I think Jim Taylor played for them early on...
