NFC Championship - Saints @ Bears

The New Orleans Saints amazing season continues following the team's win over Philly last weekend, but now they have to travel to Chicago to play the top-seed, 13-3 Bears. Can the explosive New Orleans offense score on the vaunted but banged up Bears D? Will the Saints be marching on to the Super Bowl? What are your predictions for this one?

I can't stand the bears. There are so many fair weather Bears fans out there. We don't ever hear from them unless their team is winning. And please bears fans, if you are from Chicago or Illinois, I'm not referring to you. You guys live for that team, but a lot that are outside of your area do not. I hope the Saints wipe the field with them. GO Drew, Go Deuce, Go Reggie, Go Marques.

I am looking forward to this game. I think the Bears will win, but I am becoming a Saints fan. They are fun to watch.

I agree. They are very fun to watch. You never know what they are going to do. How about the punter taking off and running the ball for about 15 yards. That was great.

I couldn't tell if that was a planned fake, or if the punter just hesitated because he saw the defender break through. Their passing game is so good you never can say they are out of range to make a first down.

I couldn't tell either. But it was a great play. And Brees has been phenomenal this year with them. They have so many weapons on offense.

Talk about a punter using his head. He saw that the punt was going to be blocked so he pulled it down, took of and picked up the first down. WOW

Re: NFC Championship - Saints @ Bears

The Saints are fun to watch. I'm not a Saints fan per say. I'm a Seahawk and Dolphins fan. Don't ask me how that happened but as far as the NFL goes, those are my two teams I yell for year in and year out. But I will say that since the Seahawks are out of it, I have to yell for the Saints for the rest of the year. I mean I have always liked the Bears too but after moving to Louisiana for the last 8 years and going to see the Saints play, they kind of grow on you. But they've never really affected me like they have this year. They looked awful in training camp and not so good in pre-season. But Payton, with the on field leadership of Drew Brees has shown that team how to win. Now they expect to win. Its unbelievable watching the transformation this team has made in 2006. If you HATE the Saints, and have never pulled for them and say you never will, take a trip to New Orleans on game weekend and see the city and what that team means to those people, and you may start to secretly catch yourself saying, 'who dat?' That team has become the life blood for a lot of those people and it is truly amazing. So from this Seahawks fan, I say, GO SAINTS!!!!

Re: NFC Championship - Saints @ Bears

I have been a bears fan all of my life ... so ... not a fair weather fan.

This will be a great game.

I think Rex will play good again. I am most worried about the Saints running game. We have not been real good at stopping the run lately.
I don't see Bush getting free on reverses or misdirection.

Duece running straight ahead is my fear.

The Bears defense made plays when they had to last week.

My prediction ... Bears 30 Saints 27

Re: NFC Championship - Saints @ Bears

Well, as I'm sure everyone knows by now, the Saints lost in the NFC Championship. Still, a great season for the guys from New Orleans, but they didn't have an answer for the Chicago defense. They turned the ball over too much and only managed 56 rushing yards on the day. Hard to win when your production's limited so much.

Hopefully this year turned the franchise around and they will have a run of playoff years. They were fun to watch.

Re: NFC Championship - Saints @ Bears

The Bears defense played the way they did to open the year.

The SuperBowl should be a lot of fun ... mid way through the season, these were the best two teams.

I am wondering if Dungy tried to not win a couple of games to take the pressure off of his guys.

I was glad to see Rex rebound from a sub par first half to play well in the 2nd.
