Re: Why the Saints are winning

The Detroit Free Press article linked to above offers five reasons why the New Orleans Saints are winning right now -- the hiring of Sean Payton, the signing of Drew Brees, the addition of Jeff Faine and their new linebacking corps, the drafting of Reggie Bush, and their 2006 late round selections such as 7th rounder Marques Colston.

So, of those factors, which do you think has been the biggest catalyst for the Saints turnaround?

I'd say coach Payton. A good coach can do wonders with any team.

Brees. If Tomlinson didn't already have a space reserved for the 2006 MVP trophy Brees would easily be next in line. Best free agent signing for the 2006 season of any team.

Re: Why the Saints are winning

Sorry, I'm not a Saints fan, but after reading a few articles here and there, I've come to the conclusion that Sean Payton is not only a good coach but a genuinely nice guy. Is this so?

Re: Why the Saints are winning

Saints are winning because of three simple reasons:
A)Playing at Home
B)Reggie Bush's Catching
C)Drew Brees' Passing

Cool Re: Why the Saints are winning

Welcome to GoTeamsGo johnc. Saints are winning for all the reasons you mentioned. I'd say the top 2 are all of their offensive weapons and a good coach who plays to win and doesn't screw around.
