Washington Redskins @ New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints (9-4) continue their march towards the playoffs this weekend, hosting the Washington Redskins (4-9). Here's a look ahead to the match-up:

NFL - Washington Redskins/New Orleans Saints Preview Sunday December 17, 2006 - Yahoo! Sports
By JEFF MEZYDLO, STATS Writer

A year ago, the New Orleans Saints were in the middle of one of the worst seasons in franchise history. They're now on the verge of clinching a playoff spot.

The NFC South-leading Saints look to continue their impressive turnaround and win their first division title since 2000 when they host the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

Various scenarios can put New Orleans (9-4) in the postseason, but a win Sunday will give the Saints the division.

"There aren't any playoff feelings," Saints coach Sean Payton told the team's official Web site. "We have a chance to do something this weekend and then begin to look at the picture. I think at this point with three games left in the season, everybody begins to look at all of the scenarios that can take place.

"I just think that what we've been able to do is look at and work on the team we're playing this week."
Saints fan or not, you've got to love what this team is going. I think they get to 10 wins with a big win over the Skins on Sunday. Big games for Brees and Bush, too. What do you folks think?

This game will bring Brees alot closer to Montana's record, BUsh will pile on the stats everybody has been waitng for, and Karney may add some more touchdowns to his career total:3.

Well, we lost the game, but Atlanta and Carolina lost theirs to, so we've clenched the NFC South. WIERD day.

Yeah, you guys clinched... but man, did the Saints offense look bad. Way too many dropped passes.
