Saints vs. Panthers

The Panthers just scored the go ahead touchdown and lead 14-10 with just over 6 minutes to go in the game.

Can the Saints pull out a victory? Drew Brees probably thinks so, he's completed 25 of 33 passes for just under 300 yards.

Re: Saints vs. Panthers

Panthers win, but it was a game down to the end. I was very impressed with the way the Saints came out, on a short week following their emotional return to New Orleans, on the road against a tough division opponent. They fought with everything they had, and even when the Panthers scored their last touchdown and apparently put the game out of reach, here comes New Orleans back with a big catch-and-run touchdown pass. Yes, the Saints lost, but they sure showed me that they were for real this afternoon.

I too am impressed very much with the Saints. Talk about most improved team! Even though they lost (by rights to everyone's NFC Champ pick!) they kept their fans in it to the end and showed that this team has a bright future and good management bringing in players like Drew Brees and drafting Reggie Bush. Good for them giving the city of New Orleans something to cheer about!

Cool Re: Saints vs. Panthers

I had Carolina in my suicide pool. But that game got a little too close for comfort. I give the Saints a lot of credit - I really thought they would get blown out.

Re: Saints vs. Panthers

Brees is proving that the Chargers were a bit impulsive to get rid of him.

he is a classy quarterback.

(Hey Simon, he might...just might be as good as Daunte... )
