New Orleans Saints show improvement in 38-14 exhibition victory over Houston Texans

New Orleans Saints running back Mike Bell gets a lift from fullback Heath Evans after Bell ran 46 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter of an exhibition game against the Texans on Saturday night in Houston.

HOUSTON -- New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton and his staff likely will be pleased after breaking down the game tape of Saturday night's 38-14 victory against the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium.
What's not to like?

Quarterbacks Drew Brees and Joey Harrington combined to move the No. 1 offense with relative ease against mostly front-line defenders in the first half, racking up 17 points, 268 yards and playing turnover-free ball.
Running back Mike Bell made a strong case for a spot on the 53-man roster, rushing 10 times in the first half for 100 yards, including a 46-yard scoring run in the second quarter.

Undrafted rookie free-agent running backs Herb Donaldson and P.J. Hill got in the act, scoring on runs of 14 yards and 1 yard in the fourth quarter.

Saints looked awefully good yesterday. Anybody think they are the team to beat in the NFC South?
