Yeah, I get the feeling he's done in New Jersey, and Miami certainly is the most likely destination.

I wonder what this means for the Nets and the possible Jermaine O'Neal trade. Will the talks intensify now that Carter's gone?

This was expected. Carter was to opt out and they would reach a new deal.

Nothing that wasn't expected yet...but some other team could theoretically jump in with a bigger money offer. But the Nets want him back.
