I always like the underrated Billy Paultz...anyone for Vince Carter or Kidd...maybe Bernard King?

well Dr J was only with the Nets for 3 seasons ....... is that long enough to label him best Net of all time ? seems it would be like saying MJ was the greatest Wizard of all time, which he wasnt.

Dr J was a great player, probably top 50 all time ....... but since he was only with the Nets for 3 years im going with Kidd

Those three seasons he was the premier player in the league and brought a title to New York. Kidd has only been a Net five years...hardly a lifetime...

Not even an issue...Dr. J....Kidd is #2...I grew up watching the Dr on LI as a kid...Those were some of my best memories of hoops as a kid.

It's funny. Dr. J was a Net but played elsewhere. Kidd belongs in the discussion but he spend a lot of time elsewhere. And let's throw Chocolate Thunder into the mix here too, since Dawkins spent multiple seasons with the Nets but was also a Sixer and played for some other teams. Ironic how none of the top Nets spent their entire career with the teams. There's a best player, but there really is no "face of the franchise" like there are on other teams.
