Re: Nets win 11th straight You know, I sure hadn't. It's always the Kobes and the LeBrons and the Spurs and Pistons making the headlines. I'm not slighting those teams and players, but how does a team put together a string like this and fly under the radar? And 33-0 when leading after 3? That's crazy! They're a team that can finish, that's for sure, and if they get overlooked? Well then, maybe that makes them even more dangerous come playoff time.

Re: Nets winning streak Make that 12 straight wins, after Vince Carter scored 33 second half points to help sink the Miami Heat, 90-78, on Sunday. Carter's been a key component to this unheralded run, averaging 26 points during the streak. More and more, this looks like its a team that could go far in the playoffs.

Re: Nets winning streak If this team can continue this level of play into the post-season, it could actually make for a competitive second round playoff series between them and The Heat. Having by far and away the weakest interior game in the league should eventually hinder their play. Hopefully they are not peaking too soon.

They fly under the radar because they play in New Jersey. That was the reason Jason Kidd didn't win the MVP a few years ago but should have. Additionally, I would bet the majority of Jersey natives are Knick fans. But they are really playing killer ball right now. In the playoffs, I think they would beat the Heat and have a very good series with the Pistons.

Re: Nets winning streak The streak almost ended yesterday, but in the end, Jersey pulled out win #13 in a row and won the Atlantic Division with a 96-94 win over Atlanta. They had a 23-point fourth-quarter lead at one point, but somehow managed to allow the Hawks to come back and make it a one-point game. Once again, Vinsanity led the way, tying a Nets record by scoring at least 20 points in his 18th straight game. They team got "complacent" according to Jason Kidd, who told the AP, "We have to understand that we have to play 48 minutes."

Re: Nets winning streak Nets win streak - 14 games and counting. This after a 113-102 win over Charlotte that saw Richard Jefferson score a season-high 40 points and Jason Kidd put up his 74th career triple-double. This ties the longest win streak in New Jersey history. And as an interesting side note, Kidd's 13 points, 12 assists and 10 boards moved him within four triple-doubles of Wilt Chamberlain for third place on the all-time list. Who knew?

Re: Nets winning streak And the streak ends at 14, one shy of a franchise record. This comes courtesy of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who beat the Nets 108-102 yesterday. Now we'll have to see how NJ can rebound from this.
