After talking trash to Sasha Pavlovic despite his awful performance thus far, he proceeds to get the ball with the game on the line and fumble it around until the ball goes out of bounds. LeBron's choke-job in the 4th almost cost the Cavs the game but after that MVP performance by Vince Carter, (for Cleveland) it didn't matter.

I think Vince Carter in some ways makes the Nets a worse team. At the end of games, they have Jason Kidd, standing around while Carter goes 1 on 1. You have one of the best point guards in the history of hoops. He needs the ball in his hands.

I'm not knocking Carter's scoring ability but the Nets fortune depends on Carter's 1 on 1 game, too much.

I think the Nets should start to re-build. They should let Carter walk after this year, he's not worth the contract that they're going to have to give him. They should also try to trade Kidd and maybe in 2 to 3 years for picks and young players. By the time they get to Newark, maybe they can be a contender again.
