Cool Devils on the Brink

Hurricanes up on the Devils 3-0...In October, if you'd have told me that the Canes and Sabres would be in the conference Finals, I would have thought that you were smoking something.

Re: Devils on the Brink

Now that I have made peace with the fact that the Devils are soo done, I am most disappointed that they haven't provided an entertaining show. At least put up a fight. At least make Carolina work for the cup.
Comments the other night from the guys at the microphones that the Canes are playing old Devil hockey - which is mind numbingly boring. the Devils became a much more exciting team when they stopped The Trap - and now it's killing them.
yawn yawn.
There is so much more in Madden and Gomez and Gionta and ELIAS. Disappointing.

Re: Devils on the Brink

So I am thinking that the Devils were the defensive power in the East and the 'Canes were the offensive force. With the new rules I guess its clear who comes out on top. Brodeur is still the best.

Re: Devils on the Brink

...and they're done.
Not such a great game to go out on. The second canes goal happened, and I thought, I think this is it. Not that I'm psychic or anything. I just didn't believe they could do it anymore.
Don't blame me for the loss, though, GDK.
Classy guys - I can't believe I've picked up this incredible respect for jersey, yet I have. Beaten by the horribly boring trap they created - let me say, if carolina plays this way through to the Cup win, I'll be mad...
I HATE the trap - it is boring boring hockey. Let the next team - And that would be you Buffalo who by the way I'm rooting for - rip through that nasty red rover game of trap.
