| Brodeur record breaker G Martin Brodeur needs one victory for his sixth career 40-win campaign. Only Jacques Plante and Terry Sawchuk have more than three 40-win seasons . . . Brodeur also is looking to become the only goalie in history to record consecutive 40-win seasons on two occasions (he also did it in 1999-00 & 2000-01). Sawchuk (1950-51 & '51-52), Bernie Parent ('73-74 & '74-75) and Ken Dryden ('75-76 & '76-77) all have recorded back-to-back 40-win seasons on one occasion. | Re: Brodeur record breaker With one more victory, Brodeur will have his 6th 40+ win season. Amazing. AND he'll be the only goalie in NHL history to have back-to-back 40-win seasons twice. I knew he was good, but every time I see numbers like this, it stuns me just HOW good he is.
