Martin Brodeur booed

Man, sports fans can be merciless. After the great career Marty Brodeur has had in New Jersey, Devils fans booed the goalie after he struggled Thursday night. It really is getting to be a "what have you done for me lately?" business, isn't it, now more than ever? Can you believe NJ fans jumping on Brodeur?

The guy gave up 7 goals...and for once I was a bit glad that blueandwhite girl beat me to him in the GTG fantasy draft...but he will rebound...and come on, they are Jersey fans did you expect better?...They are just a cut above Philly fans...

Kevin Weeks should be booed after his first period performance tonight! What is it with these goalies?

Re: Martin Brodeur booed

I don't think brodeur is the goalie he used to be - there is only one Roy - but i think he is still more than decent and i think he has great defence.
I hate the booing. In Toronto, the team gets booed the moment someone thinks they're not working hard enough. but deep down, we always love them. I think it's the same in jersey. they expect ALOT from Brodeur.

Wow, I always thought Brodeur had the Derek Jeter treatment in that he could do no wrong in the fans eyes.

I guess I was wrong.

I think Brodeur is a top three or four goalie even now...Hall of Famer first ballot... I doubt he will have a bad season...I will trade for him any time...just send him my way.
