Where do the Pats stand this year?

We've all heard about the big moves in the NFL, all the big stories, but not much has been said about New England, are they being written off?

Apparently not by the odds makers. They're 5-1, the second favorite (Colts are first) to win the Super Bowl.

Nobody's talking about the Patriots? Just how Bill Belichick likes it.

Guess it depends which oddsmakers you ask; unless these are just AFC odds.

Re: Where do the Pats stand this year?

The local radio shows up here are making a big deal of the off-season free-agent losses, I understand the Vinatieri situation, I still scratch my head over that one, but as for Willie M. I mean come on, he HAS to get old someday, and Givens was nice to have, but not at the money he signed for. I don't think they'll be in any worse shape than last year, and honestly, that Denver game was winnable.

Re: Where do the Pats stand this year?

i think we should be a favorite

the O-line was so beat up last year

and i think if not for the turn-over meltdown last year we would have likely won the Super Bowl

i do believe Ty Law would and hopefully will be a great addition

and remember, this year Tedy Bruschi will be at 100%, or i would think in better shape then last years start

How's Corey Dillon? He was looking mightly old last season. What's he got left in the tank?

i have to look positive

i think he was hurt for the beginning of last year

then he came on reasonably strong

with the healthy O-line he should be fine
