| Re: Moss fined for comments about officiating I forgot about Espn being a cable network. So that means you cant see Monday night football??? NFL networks also offers not only the Thursday games from Nov. on, but also replays of the 4 best games of the week. I have Directv Sunday Ticket. Which adds a couple of hundred per year to our satellite bill. That will probably have to go next year. thats just so I can watch not only my team but any other team I choose to watch. Maybe we NFL fans are greedy Cougar. WE WANT IT ALL. I see your point about the other sports not maybe being as generous. But NFL is the number one sport. If it wants to stay that way, maybe it needs to rethink some of its policies.

it may not happen in NY, but it happens in the rest of "the world" .. more often than you think. it used to be the 3 primary "free" broadcast channels (ABC, CBS & NBC) carried all the games and replays were on pay channels. but now ABC has been booted and replaced by ESPN. so anytime "your" team plays on Monday night, it's no longer free. plus they now have thrusday night games which are on NFL Network .. another pay channel. (Yeah, I know. they say it isn't, but when you have to buy a "package" to get it, it's by default a pay channel.)

Also, you said Thursday night games are on the NFL network, well it may be because I live in NY, but the Jets V.S. Patriots is on channel 11 for me. |

| Re: Moss fined for comments about officiating But Cougar, what if you live in the NY area and you happen to be a Raiders fan. Then what? Or in Wisconsin and an Eagles fan? The schedule is made up a year ahead of time and the networks show the games of the teams they think will be most popular. So I could have caught some of the Cowboys games on regular tv. Channel 11 here is a Green Bay Station and they used to show the Packers. Now they dont and fans in Green Bay cant see their team on regular tv anymore. I am thinking you are more ok with the system because you can see your team. I am thinking you might have a different view if you couldnt watch the Giants. |
