Looking to win their 4th NFL Championship in 7 years, the Pats went into last years Super Bowl with 2 things on their mind...another Super Bowl win to heal the sting of not even making it the the big game last year...and a perfect record...but we all know what happened

So how will they fair this year? Can they get back to their dominant old-self...or will the fact that they were "that close" to being perfect play on their minds?

I think it will play on the media's mind far more than the team. No doubt there have been team meetings where this subject has been talked about. The media will base all of their questions on that until they get the first loss. I suspect this will be a 12-14 win season. Still good enough to make it to the big dance.

I think they will put it out of their mind. They are too good of a team not to.
BUT- that defense is another year older. I dont think they have replaced Samuels yet.

On the other hand, they have a weak schedule. Not a perfect season, maybe 12-13 wins.

At the beginning of the year it may play on their minds a bit but they're professional athletes and will eventually get in a groove and forget about it.

Yeah, that's the same feeling I'm getting. They'll make it deep into the playoffs, probably to the AFC title game, but they'll lose there.

the Pats will be just fine

i can see last year still burning in them to get the ring .... especially in Moss ... which could spell trouble for other teams

the playoffs is basically a given .... they are still way above the rest of the AFC East
