| Spygate, ticket scalping and Matt Walsh So NFL Commissioner has met with Matt Walsh and Spygate is officially over. No new developments in terms of the taping scandle, but... Walsh did mention two things that could have possible ramifications. One is that a player who was on I.R. was illegally practicing with the team, which could result in a fine for the team. The second is that Walsh says that several players, including some active Patriots, had him scalp Super Bowl tickets. That's something the NFL has punished players and coaches for in the past, so if it gets verified, there could be some player penalties forthcoming. So, your reaction to all this?

| Re: Spygate, ticket scalping and Matt Walsh Well, I happened to have the good fortune (or is that misfortune?) of watching Goodell's press conference. The two things I listed in my initial post are new developments, from what it sounded, but they are relatively minor infractions that will probably result in fines and nothing more. I remember Mike Tice, wasn't it, who got in trouble for scalping tickets while coaching the Vikings? I imagine any players who had Walsh do the same thing will receive whatever punishment Tice did. |

Still, no new cheating. Guess these are just infractions as you say. It was Tice. Wonder if Walsh has evidence of them littering on the ground by the benches too. Not taking all their broken helmets along out of the opponents visitor locker rooms? Maybe smiling at the ref and trying to influence his decisions?
