Randy Moss set to write book

New England Patriots walking soap opera Randy Moss is writing his life story. The book, "Rollin' with Randy: The Real Randy Moss Story," is being co-written by longtime Moss collaborator Jim Workman for release next February. Just in time for the Super Bowl! In a posting on Randy's Web site, Workman said he's in the process of finding a publisher for the book, which we can't imagine will be a problem considering the wealth of material he has to work with! "I've been approached about doing a book many times in my career," Moss says on his Web site TheRealRandyMoss.com. "But at this point of my career, I feel that it's time to come on out with my experiences. I've matured and grown and I've accomplished more in football. I want to let people in on . . . football and my everyday life." Workman, the University of Charleston's sports information director, is a former sports reporter who has covered Moss since he began his football career in high school. -- Boston Herald

Hmm... can't say I'm overly interested. Would anyone out there actually read this book?

Re: Randy Moss set to write book

Dont know if I would believe everything he says. But it would be one way to find out if he's really changed or not. It will be in every word he writes. I'd probably get it (from the library) and see what it is like. Of course, I read TO's book too and liked it so maybe my standards aren't too high
I liked Tony Dungy's, Strahan's, but didnt read much of Bettis's. A couple of Terry Bradshaw's were pretty funny.

If you've read Canseco's rubbish, you'll more than likely be in the group that buys this.

How do you know something is rubbish unless you have read it yourself?
I am not fortunate to be in a position to buy books, I have to get them from our local library. Its a good thing else I would have really wasted a lot of money in the past. Sometimes I just skim them if its just not grabbing my attention. Maybe Randy will have some real gems in there.

I'm with Lefty abotu not being too interested. He is a great WR, and controversial with his antics on the field. I just don't see him as too interesting to have a book.

Sometimes the author can tip you off. Especially when it's a biography.
There are just some people that I really can't get excited at the prospecy of learning more about, you know?

Re: Randy Moss set to write book

Part of the problem with these books are...the players don't really write them...they tell their stories to a real writer...who writes it for them...cutting and splicing for dramatic effect...

If Randy was really capable of writing a book, I would actually read it...BUT...a version of his story by a ghost writer...not really...
