No Brady or Moss at Pro Bowl

NFL Access reports tonight that neither Tom Brady or Randy Moss will be going to the Pro Bowl. Derek Anderson will take Brady's place and Chad Johnson will be going for Randy Moss. No reason was given.

There has been so many replacements for Pro Bowl players, I doubt if many of the originals are still going. Sometimes its because of injury, or fear of injury although I dont believe anyone gets hurt too often. Is the Pro Bowl losing its prestige among the players??

Prestige ?? Honestly I never saw it that way. I know I'm just a tad cynical but this is just a last ditch effort by the NFL to extort money from the fans. The game means nothing.

This isnt the only sport to have an all star game. Sure, fans love it and according to the players that go there, it is an honor. (yeah, I admit, I watch it.) Do any of the all star games mean anything? Its just ENTERTAINMENT.
And of course the good old NFL is getting rich off it.

I think we said the same basic thing. I don't watch any of the "All Star" events. It's not a hate thing I just don't think the level of competition is the same as a regular game or race.

No, no we couldnt have said the same thing. That cant be.
Ok, we agree the level of competition isnt the same as a regular one.
BUT we disagree on the prestige thing.
Whew! That was close.

I'll throw in that THEY may consider it an honor. The only reason I'll do it is so that we come closer to actually agreeing. I know how much that scares you !!!

Re: No Brady or Moss at Pro Bowl

Brady never goes, he is always listed with the bad shoulder in the injury report to get out of this. Moss will be busy with his legal problems, but there is certainly nothing wrong with him.

Re: No Brady or Moss at Pro Bowl

The only reason todays players like the game is that it will give them more money when they get the pro bowler title added to their name. They should just get rid of the game and have an awards ceremony like the oscars. Show clips of their season accomplishments. People will watch this look at how well the ESPYs do.

Re: No Brady or Moss at Pro Bowl

Brady clearly didn't look 100% in his last two games, so can't really blame him. Plus this way, Derek Anderson gets to go, although it's a shame that he has to be an injury replacement instead of getting voted in. Ultimately, though, it's a win-win situation!

Wow, that is cynical...come on...players go to Hawaii, and they get to put on their resume that they are the best of the best...and then play a game with their peers...

Brady I can almost understand...why risk future injury...Moss...big baby...

Heck, I rather see Anderson and Ocho Cinco any way.

Re: No Brady or Moss at Pro Bowl

They should ban Super Bowl players from the game anyway. Just for the heck of it. Let everyone else have one more day in the sun.
