anyway its pretty funny how everyone is so high on "showing class" yet the patriots showed an unprecedented lack of class by slithering into the locker room with time on the clock. i dont care if it WAS only 2 seconds, those guys coulda atleast shook hands with the giants, didnt the giants show them the same respect when they got the win to go 16-0?

Re: Pats Choke!!!!!!!

o and how is choke a bit much? there is no better definition of choke. on the cusp of history and possibly solidifying himself as the GOAT, brady chokes. now that 1 means WAYY more than that 18 in 18-1. since manning gets all the blame for his teams misfortunes, its only fair that brady gets the same blame.

i've been sayin it all season, the key to brady's success was that all time great o-line. notice how without that o-line, brady was an average qb? eli didnt even have half the time to throw that brady did and still won

o and by the way. this upcoming nfl draft class is FULL of VERY promising pass rushers.

Re: Pats Choke!!!!!!!

Pats didn't choke. It's not like they lost on an interception or were blown out. They lost a tough, close, competitive ballgame.

Yep, I agree completely. 'Choke' implies that you cost yourself the game, when clearly credit is due to Eli and that the New York D.

Re: Pats Choke!!!!!!!

Lefty, this was a classic choke. A team for the ages, the "best" team ever? not winning the title after the year they had? If this wasn't a choke, there are none. Belichik eschewing the FG there was weird, but since he is a genius he gets cut some slack. They couldn't run the ball or protect the QB, two things they have done whenever they wanted to during their run. Now Pats fans know how Yankee fans felt after blowing the 3-0 lead to the Red Sox.

You and I must've been watching different games. I didn't see the Patriots fall apart. I didn't see them go into the tank. I saw them go out, play a solid game, and come up short. Like I said, a choke to me implies that the favorite absolutely falls to pieces. The New England offense struggled because of the Giants D, but there was no collapse and hence no choke. That's just one man's opinion, though.

A couple of things about your post. Your answer implies that individuals cheated not the team and that is my point. The Pat's didn't cheat. One member of the organization did. Are the Yankees World series wins all in question now since some of their players are in question ? Is Hank's record intact because of Bonds alleged cheating ??

I also may stand corrected but it was Belichick that left the field. The required players were on the field to finish the ONE second that was remaining. I will never argue that Belichick has zero personality. He in fact did again prove it in his interview with Chris Myers after the game.

My point is that when you make accusations point them to the guilty parties ... not the entire team. Now tell me is filming the opposition during the game illegal ?

Re: Pats Choke!!!!!!!

I wouldnt call it a choke either. The Pats didnt fall apart, they were the favorites but many called it to be a close game.
Giants just really, really wanted it more.

No, that is him. That's who he is. He's a little different when he has as much time as he needs to find the open WR. O-VER-RA-TED.

Brady choked. He was awful. He didn't have his luxury of ten seconds to find someone. And when he did, he was skittish and was missing wide open receivers.
