Who do you hate more?

Tom Brady:

We get it. Tom Brady is handsome. Tom Brady is sexy. Tom Brady also happens to be very, very good at football. But what exactly makes him so incredibly loathsome to those of us living outside New England? Is it the player or the playa?

He wasn't very highly regarded coming out of Michigan. The Patriots took a flyer on him in the sixth round of the 2000 draft, he replaced an injured Drew Bledsoe in his second NFL season, and six years later, he's got three Super Bowl rings -- on his way to four -- and enough notches in his belt that, well, he needs a new one.

Making time with the ladies is one of the perks to being a pro. But there's a reason nobody hates Jesse Palmer (not even Jessica Bowlin): he wasn't a very good quarterback. But Tom manages to play on par with Montana on the field and with DiCaprio off the field.

Bill Belichick:

Yes, the players are the ones who execute on the field, but who teaches them to be mean? Bill Belichick does. Some call him a genius, others call him words you'd have to go to Kissing Suzy Kolber to read.

It's not just the winning. It's the scowl, the shoving of reporters, the dead-fish handshake for fellow coaches. And, I'm not sure if this has been widely reported, but some folks have accused the man of breaking some rules.

The coach--he has the personality of a dead mackerel. Just as slimy, and thinks the rules dont apply to him. He is above the NFL, the fans, and anyone who isnt him.

Why would they need the asterisk this year. I don't feel they cheated, and it was in the first game. They have been under a microscope by everybody since then. Everything they did this year has been legit.

and they were fined and had their 1st round draft pick taken away why? And just because it was the first game doesnt mean anything, if you cheat in any game its cheating regardless what week it is..

That about sums it up. I have pulled for them in the other years, but this year just broke the camels back for me. It's not about the "cheating" for me. It is the arrogance, and the running up the score that did me in.

Because they have an uptight commissioner that is trying to set examples in the league. Every team in the league tries to get advantages like that. Why do coaches hide their faces when they call plays? They know the other team is watching them. It is a poor sportsmanship to blow the whistle like he did given the fact that he took advantage of the same info when he was with the Patriots. How do you think he knew what was going on. Are we going to call him a cheater too.

Pacman has not been convicted of anything, but was still fined and suspended for the year. Am I to believe that he is guilty of everything just because of that.

So if I get caught speeding on the interstate on Monday morning and every other time I go on the interstate I am speeding ??? How many could honestly say that if the Pat's were 11-5 you'd still be harping about an event that happened, they were "caught", fined and further penalized ?? Where's all the hub bub for Michael Vick ??? His ordeal is done and now no one is talking that up. Once again I'd like some definition to what cheating really is. I'm not advocating that what was done was right but this seems just like a school yard vendetta. It's time to let it go unless you can show that the same violation occurred again and again after being warned, fined and penalized. This is just like NASCAR where many hate a specific driver and most of it is rooted back to the success they are having. No one likes to see complete domination in a sport.

By the same token LSC, if it weren't the Patriots, do we really think you ...Mr. Rule Book...wouldn't be a little more incline to throw the book at them????...

I do agree and that is the nature of being a sports fan, but with all that said I still feel that it is long since done and the price has been paid and will be paid in the future. For those who are NASCAR fans you'll know that I have no love for Chad Knaus, a crew chief who has cheated on several occasions. He has paid the penalties and I do not continually harp about it to the degree that I see here. I ask what more do you want to see happen that is within reason ? I'm sure some want Belichick off the field and out of football forever. Will you apply that same punishment to offenses of equal or greater value. Why do we allow steroid/drug users to return ??? Vick has the possibility of returning. What is the real reason for all this dislike ???
