"A competitive Super Bowl with an undefeated New England potentially could be the most-viewed Super Bowl ever," said Ed Goren, president of Fox Sports, which will televise Super Bowl XLII on Feb. 3 from Glendale, Ariz. Fox really can't go wrong with either NFC team, although a Green Bay victory would set up a potential storybook matchup between Brett Favre and Tom Brady. If the Giants upset the Packers on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game, Fox at least gets the New York market and the support of all the ex-New Yorkers (and don't we all know at least one of those?). But what if the Chargers somehow find a way to upset the Patriots? "The Super Bowl is the Super Bowl," Goren said. "Will we get a larger audience for New England? Of course we will. Ask me Monday if I'm disappointed San Diego advanced to the Super Bowl. And if you asked me Monday, I'd say not at all. "We will show up to Phoenix regardless."
