Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss has spoken out about the woman who accused him of battery and got a restraining order against him. Answering questions from reporters, Moss said a female friend is trying to extort money from him and making a false accusation that he injured her.

For someone to make a false claim about me, I'm kind furious. It kind of hurts me deep inside for someone to do something like that, because I've always said time and time again that I am going to stand up for what's right. If I'm right, I'm right. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. And that's where you have your attorneys, your friends, so when you're wrong someone can tell you you're wrong. You know what I mean? My situation is where I felt that I did nothing wrong. It was an accident. Whatever happened, it was an accident. I wish I could sit here and yell you all what happened. But there is a lawsuit or whatever is been coming against me, I can't really explain or tell you all what is going on. All I want to say is that I'm going to continue to play football.

It's important to remember that Moss has not been arrested or charged with a crime. Presumably, if the police had any reason to believe Moss had actually injured this woman, they would have arrested him, meaning that, right now, the evidence points in the direction of believing that Moss is telling the truth.

and for those of you conspiracy nuts that will assume he hasnt been locked up so he can play ... you know he would get and receive bail and be allowed to play ..... even if found guilty im sure he would only get probation, possibly community service .... he has no serious record ....... and dont forget a judge let Tank Johnson go to the Super Bowl last year and he was arrested

I wouldnt doubt that he would be allowed to play no matter what. That's nothing new in the world of football.

Time will tell the truth of the allegations though.

The key quote from Moss is " I will look into it after the season". Well he can't the hearing is scheduled to be the Monday before the Super Bowl and if he doesn't show who's story do we hear.

I have it figured out. This woman was a plant put there by the Chargers. Her sole purpose was to create a distraction. That means Moss is innocent.

not sure if you heard yet .... on a serious note about this being a distraction ..... it came out on ESPN Radio today that Moss and the team knew about this before the Jacksonville game ... so if it would be a distraction you would think it would have been one during that game .. and it wasnt
