Moss, once out of football, will still be in the news, as he makes one police report after another, unless Rice teaches him how to dance.
All of that may very well be true but the fact remains be broke the record and my opinion is that the media, ONCE AGAIN, is making news where there is none. Moss will not be the first major leaguer to make bad news after retirement. Lets wait until it actually happens before we talk about those events ...... unless you are currently a media person.

One need not be a media man or a fortune teller to see that Moss will have troubles when he is done playing. If he had simply had the class to acknowledge that Rice's record was a great achievement-he only took 12 games to score 22 TDs-then there would be no story. But Moss, as is typical, made it all about himself.

Does it say in the law that if you break a record you have to mention the previous record holder. It would be nice if he did but he didn't break a law.

It really pains me to say this but unless there was more to it than was reported in the first post, I believe much ado is being made about nothing.
It was kind of a slap because the focus was on Moss, he said its about me basically. Usually players are respectful of those who have gone before but Moss lacks respect for anyone. But I dont think his attention was to slam Rice. Who was the classiest most incredible receiver ever. Moss has a long way to go to catch up with Rice's style.

You may well be correct with your guess but in reality you'd have to be some type of fortune teller to be sure that his life after football be troubled. I'm just not there yet and I still have little to no respect for how the media operates these days.

Right on the mark !! What he did may irritate some folks but he did absolutely nothing wrong that would cost him a suspension or a fine.

Again I agree. Much ado about nothing. Could he have been gracious ?? By all means.

Why wasn't there as much discussion over the statement that Mercury Morris made about the Pat's and Dolphins game ???

Please Simon, Rice partially made Montana and Young...Moss has a history of playing when he wants to play...you can't be serious that they are even in the same league...maybe Moss and TO...but Moss is no Rice.

Re: NY Giants vs. New England Patriots
I heard an interview with Mercury Morris this morning. He is of the opinion that when the Pats win this game they will not be better than the Dolphins. They will be tied for the record. He said it doesn't matter how many games they win. They will be tied for winning percentage. Does this sound like a guy grasping?

Re: Jerry Rice Calls Randy Moss Comments a 'Slap in the Face, But That's Typical of R

Just a bit. But then, I always thought the whole thing of those guys getting together to drink when other teams got close was lame!

I'm sure if it was me, I'd do the same thing, and it would be lame then too!

Part of me is glad the Pats got it. At least I won't have to see them anymore! The Pats guys are all still playing, so at least the accomplishment is current.
