Re: Patriots vs Giants

Great job Pats! I don't care if the Giants shut down their running game, it just proved that the Pats can pull off a win, even in a sticky situation. By the way, anyone else on here a huge Wes Welker fan??

i was actually a wes welker fan when he was on the dolphins because he was so fast and such a great position reciever and still no one payed him no mind but now he does the same thing with the patriots and now everyone gives him credit for the great things he does,so at least he gets the credit he deserves it's just to bad it's only because of the team he's on.

Eli played a great game. If he would play like that always, it would be pretty scary in the Cowboys division. Sometimes he must just go with his instincts, and when he does, he plays really well.

This is probably going to be one of the best games of the weekend.
True about the best game of the weekend. But most teams don't have much to play for! I think I'm gonna go spend some gift cards, until the 'Boys come on.

With the Redskins playing for a spot, and the Titans doing the same, the best stuff will come later in the day! Nothing at 1 means much to me.

Pats still suck!

I wasn't, but man, he's turning me into one.

He and Moss resemble an upgraded Keyshawn and Crebet in my mind for some reason. Am I the only one?

Bette it wasn't meaningless.... the Giants roughed the Pats up and made the starters go the distance. They also showed the mighty Pats are able to be beat if you capitolize on the good stops you make against them. Even though they lost you have to give the Giants props for makin the Pats earn it.

I'm in partial agreement. Keep in mind that the Giant's starters went the distance also and there was tons of media chat about how they wouldn't follow that route just because the game had zero value to the Giants. You also have to believe that for the Pat's the film will be invaluable. They can now look at where their running game went afoul. It wasn't until the 4th quarter that the Pat's actually looked like they had any type of command of the game. Yes it took the first string to get them out of a 12 point deficient, but they did it with little consequences. The Giant's haven't been the only team this year to put the heat on the Pat's. The beginning of the year had everyone clamoring about the points being run up and now that all the teams have had a chance to analyze how the Pat's play the games have been much closer.

The play offs will be an entirely different scenario for New England. They are going to have to review tapes and take note of just where and how they are getting beaten. It's obvious now that they can be beaten. The question is can anyone put 60 minutes together and finish them off ???

Any given team can lose on any given game day. You need to play for a full 60 minutes to get the victory now.

True my firend, but they better prepare well, cause now everyone has seen how to get'em.

The kid is growing on me...I though he was a good little player in Miami, but hardly worth the fuzz...but he seems to have stepped up a notch now that he has Brady and Moss.

That is a point I've made for quite some time now. No one is unbeatable, but at the same time others are finding their faults, hopefully they are strengthening those faults since they are being exposed. It will not shock me in the least if the Pat's lose in the playoffs. The mightiest of Goliaths fall at some point. They have to lose sometime. Yes I'd like to see them win it all but tomorrow will still arrive whether they win or not.

They seem beatable...more so in the AFC playoffs then in the Super Bowl...but not every team can put that kind of pressure on Brady...just because they seem beatable...doesn't mean a lot of teams have the talent to do it.

I agree but the one issue that you must consider is that teams review tapes and look for weaknesses. Like all teams the Patriot's have weaknesses. Thus far they have been able to control the bleeding, although last nights game had me wondering when the turn around would occur.

Who does have the talent? I'd say Indy. Possibly Jacksonville. Steelers might have defensively, but not on offense.
