Belichick calls Moss best he's ever had

Patriots coach Bill Belichick was asked if the draft-day deal for Randy Moss could have turned out any better. The Patriots swapped a mere fourth-round pick for Moss, who leads the NFL in receiving yards (1,052) and touchdowns (16). "I'm glad we have Randy Moss, let's put it that way," Belichick said. "I'm glad we got him. As a head coach, I've never had a better receiver than Randy. I've been on teams that have had a lot of other good receivers, but he's very good and he's been good for this football team. "He's added a lot. He's brought a lot of leadership as well as playmaking ability and a lot of versatility to our football team. I'm glad we have him. I don't know about ranking anything. I don't know about all that, but I'm glad he's on our team. I'm glad he's playing for us." -- Boston Globe

That's only cause Terrell Owens plays for the Cowboys...though Moss's record against the Cowboys does include 6 Tds in two Turkey day games.

How foolish do the Raides feel now. A 4th round pick!!! I don't care how bad he played for you. It was Randy Moss. He is worth more than a 4th round pick.

Re: Belichick calls Moss best he's ever had

Keep in mind now that Belichick says Randy is the best "HE" ever had ... but here are the stats, you decide.

Moss, age 30, 66 receptions for 1052 yards. An avg. of 15.9 and 16 TD's.

T.O. age 33, 58 receptions for 1028 yards. An avg. og 17.7 and 12 TD's.

Moss might have a slight edge overall but it's tough to proclaim that one is abosolutely better than the other.

Moss is more talented...stats wise equal...but I haven't seen TO quit on a game like Moss has a history of doing.
