Sammy Morris' season is over after the New England Patriots placed him on injured reserve. They would only refer to a "chest" injury as the reason why.

Will this effect the Pats more than anyone thinks?

Well, it'll definitely force them to use Maroney for more carries per game, which could cause him to wear down, but other than that I can't imagine it'll be a huge problem for the Pats. Not like Morris isn't irreplaceable, you know?

Morris was more the power back but Maroney is good. Faulk did ok spelling Morris when Lawrence Maroney was out. I guess now he has a bigger role in the offense. Morris's chest injury sounds vague though.

Sorry to double post but will the Pats call up someone from the practice squad or dig real deep on the depth chart for someone to spell Maroney?
