let me clarify ....... they are beating the Dolphins 42-7 at half time ....... Lord knows they arent supposed to run up the score ........ Lord knows they arent supposed to hurt the Dolphins feelings

so just what should they do ?

they were leading 14-0 in the first quarter .... should they have started taking a knee then ?

Well, like Mike Ditka said this morning on Mike & Mike - a professional team has no obligation to NOT run up the score. They other guys are being paid (and paid well) to stop you. So, I guess upon further review... the Dolphins just need to quit their bellyaching.

Class nothing. Do they pay Belichick, Brady and company to take it easy on other teams? Heck no. The 1940 Chicago Bears whipped the Washington Redskins 73-0. I can't imagine that that Skins team whined about "why didn't those guys take it easy on us" afterwards. More than anything, they were probably completely irriated with out they played. Ha ha, I'm not even a Patriots fan, but this unwritten rule nonsense drives me nuts. The only reason to ever let off the throttle against a pathetic opponent - in the pros, not college or high school, mind you, that's a different story - is to rest your guys and make sure they don't get hurt. NEVER to keep from "hurting their feelings".
