You people are getting downright nasty here. I may have to close this thread if you don't straighten out some.

When the Pat's win I'll be returning to this thread to use some of these quotes. I'm a Pat's fan but I'm not jumping on the bandwagon just yet. I've already made my statement in another thread and Bette was amazed by it. I stand by it.

This is one of the few games that I will pay much attention to all season. there is something about the Cowboys and Romo in particular that seems a little special this year. The Patriots are due to have a bad game at some piont, and maybe the Cowboys, who had to be looking ahead last Monday night but still pulled one out of the fire, already had theirs.

Witten is turning out to be one of the top tier TE's in the league. New England does not have anything a TE to compare to him. But at the same time, NE has so many target's. Belicheck could put the equipment manager out there and Brady would complete a pass or two to him.

(Brady over Romo in heartbeat)

RB -- Push
(those numbers are often even, especially in the YPC dept.)

WR -- Pats
(Because of depth, as simon says)

TE -- Cowboys
(Whitten is a Pro Bowl TE. Period.)

Kicker -- Cowboys
(Folk has hit on 90.9% of his attempts, Gostkowski 87.5%)

Defense -- Pats
(NE has allowed just 13.0 points and 251.4 yards per game)

Coach -- Pats
(Yeah, gotta give the edge to Belichick here over Phillips)

According to the NFL page, NE is actually second in d and Dallas is 8th.
Which is why I didnt bring up defense. Nothing funny about it.

The Boston Globe is citing sources as saying Laurence Maroney will not play later today.

If that's the case, I don't think it hurts New England too much. Morris is still getting the job done.
