| Patriots re-sign QB Testaverde The New England Patriots re-signed veteran quarterback Vinny Testaverde on Saturday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 43-year-old is entering his 21st NFL season and has played in 226 games, starting 208 since entering the league in 1987. He ranks in the top 10 in NFL history in four major passing categories, including sixth in both passing yards (45,281) and completions (3,693). His 270 career touchdown passes rank eighth, and his 6,529 attempts are seventh best. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound quarterback has spent time with Tampa Bay (1987-1992), Cleveland (1993-95), Baltimore (1993-97), the New York Jets (1998-2003, 2005), Dallas (2004) and New England (2006). | Re: Patriots re-sign QB Testaverde i think its a good pick up...ha ha sorry im not serious, what possible reason could you have for bringing back a guy who should realistically be using a walker right now? i mean Brady doesnt need a vet to show him the ropes, hes not excatly the most reliable backup anymore (he was in the past but not now), the only thing i can think for why he is bringing him in is becuase Vinny is another pocket QB like Brady so he has enough faith in his O-line that he wont get hurt...but i guess ill dito what everyone else said, pray Brady doesnt get hurt
