Richard Seymour Contract
New England has FINALLY given their top defensive player, DE Richard Seymour, a new deal. The four-year contract will pay Seymour between $7-8 million per season. The 6-6, 310-pounder is a four-time Pro Bowler with 316 tackles, 25 1/2 sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 71 career regular-season games. Upon signing the deal, he told reporters: "I want to retire as a Patriot." If he does, he'll be one of the franchise's all-time greats, if he isn't close to that status already.
