Harrison Practices Again

FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) — New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison practiced Thursday, stretching his injured right knee that kept him out of the first two playoff games.

Harrison had been listed Wednesday as doubtful for Sunday's AFC championship game at Indianapolis. An updated injury report was to be issued Thursday.

He was at the start of Thursday's practice for the stretching portion open to the media and, after putting on his helmet, picked up a football before reporters and photographers left. On Wednesday, he wasn't at the start of practice, although he walked without a limp in the locker room before his teammates left for the workout.

Re: Harrison Practices Again

Well, he could well be a difference maker in this one, especially in stopping the Colts newfound running game.

What are the rules about injury listings. If he is listed as doubtful, is he allowed to start. Are teams allowed to lie about the status of an injury?

Yes, He's allowed to start. Although teams are supposed to be honest about injury situations, very few are. A lot of teams don't say whether a guy is going to play until right before a game. There's nothing that the league can do to stop it.
