Seriously, does anyone think this game's even gonna be close? New England is looking more and more like a serious Super Bowl contender, while folks in Detroit are already talking about drafting Brady Quinn. Patriots should win big over the still hapless Lions, don't you think?

The New England cheerleaders could win this one. Oh well, guess the Pats can use the scrimage/practice time to prepare for what lays ahead, not that their remaining schedule looks all that difficult.

the Lions should help do their part for global warming by not burning all that jet fuel and just stay home

Lions lead 21-13 in the fourth. If the lead holds up, the Patriots will only have a one-game lead in the AFC East with the Jets right on their tail.

it was a terrible outing by the Pats, but they found a way

i noticed a few years ago they seem to almost always be a better second 1/2 team
