| Patriots VS Jets From www.patriotsfanblog.com view now. New England Patriots (1-0) After a week that featured their best wideout getting traded, their quarterback saying he was distracted on Sunday, and a bunch of ESPN analysts saying the dynasty is over, the Patriots will travel to New Jersey and play the New York Jets hoping to take care of business and be the loan team to lead the AFC East. Look for the Patriots to come out and have a “chip” on their shoulder, while some players might be a little sad with the Branch move, others are glad it’s done with and just want to play some football. Brady will look to throw the ball better then he did last week. To Brady’s liking he should have two more targets to throw it to, Doug Gabriel and Chad Jackson, both whom been working with Brady after and before practice all week. If the passing game doesn’t show up, the Patriots will need to ram the rock down the Jets throat. The Jets are just going to a 3-4 defensive scheme so they could be in trouble if Laurence Maroney and Corey Dillon can get it going, also watch Kevin Faulk catching some balls out of the back field. On defense, It would do wonders if the Patriots could see Tedy Bruschi in action. Last week, Junior Seau did a very good job in his place. The same can be said with Rossy Colvin. The Pats need to pressure Pennington and make his arm beat you, I really believe that both Asante Samuel or Ellis Hobbs can handle Coles. Their running game doesn’t worry me, Kevin Barlow and Derrick Blaylock aren’t that good. Look for a big game out of Rodney Harrison who is just warming up. Projected Starters : Offense QB - Tom BradyRB - Corey Dillon / Laurence MaroneyFB - Heath EvansWR - Reche CaldwellWR - Doug GabrielTE - Ben Watson / Daniel GrahamLT - Matt LightLG - Logan MankinsC - Daniel KoppenRG - Stephen NealRT - Ryan O’Callaghan Defense LE - Ty WarrenDT - Vince WilforkRE - Richard SeymourLOLB - Rossy ColvinMLB - Tedy BruschiMLB - Junior SeauROLB - Mike VrabelLCB - Asante SamuelRCB - Ellis HobbsFS - Eugene WilsonSS - Rodney Harrison Special Teams K - Stephen GostkowskiP - Josh MillerLS - Lonnie PaxtonKR - Laurence MaroneyPR - Kevin Faulk Players to watch : QB Tom BradyRB’s Corey Dillon and Laurence MaroneyWR Doug GabrielLB Mike VrabelCB Ellis Hobbs New York Jets (1-0) The Jets played a very good game against the Titans last week, Pennington looked very solid. However, we do have to remember that it was the Titans, the Patriots are a much better team then them. How will the Jets do against a top tier NFL team? They don’t have much of a running game, so that will make the Jets pass the ball a lot, or they could run it but I can guarantee that they won’t be successful doing so. The Pats need to watch out for Coles, he had a big game last week but like I said earlier, I’m pretty confident that we can shut him down. On defense the Jets could be in a huge disadvantage with defensive tackle Dwayne Robertson, he’s been a bust thus far and only occupies one offensive lineman, in a 3-4 defense the defensive tackles job is take up three guys. Look for our RB’s to have a huge game. Players to watch : QB Chad PenningtonLB Jon Vilma Prediction : 28 - 17 PATRIOTS Last edited by Lefty Noob : 09-17-2006 at 10:41 AM. | Re: Patriots VS Jets I will be extremly suprised if this game is even close. With the worry of Branch finaly gone and a few more players off the injured list, should be a easy game. The big worry is the Broncos and the the Bengals in Cinn |

| Welcome to GoTeamsGo Michael. Let's not forget the Pats barely beat the Buffalo Bills at home. As much as the Jets victory is overblown because of the awfulness of the Titans, I believe this game will be very close. Pennington looked sharp last week and the offensive line played well...Now if Nugent could only make a field goal. |

| Re: Patriots VS Jets Welcome Mike...how do like the new kid Maroney?...How long will they run Dillion with this kid on board?...I hate to see the two split carries all year...I think they are the type of runners to need 20 touches...Will they be trading or letting Dillion go in the future? |
