Two First Round Picks

ok, we now have the 2 first round picks

its never too early to think about what to do with them

we could combine them and probably move up to atleast 1 top ten pick

we could trade one or both for veteran players

or, my vote goes to, keep both picks and use them wisely

now, what does use them wisely mean ?

id say we could use a top defender for our front 7 most likely a linebacker

then the other pick should probably either be an O-lineman or a receiver, depending on what they can get through free agency

Re: Two First Round Picks

I think the Patriots should waste all their first round picks on some washed-up veterans. That is a handful of advice from a wise Jets fan.

Re: Two First Round Picks

If the Pats and Seahawks have relatively good seasons (9-7, 10-6 or better), the picks will likely be in the 20s. You're not getting into the low teens with two picks that high.

Re: Two First Round Picks

I second that thought, Empire WF.

It was sort of a waste of a trade. Since both teams will do well, their picks may be back-to-back. Lets see who is left at that time before we make any thoughts!

Re: Two First Round Picks

Way too early to think about packaging the picks and trading up, simon. Let's see how the senior class looks this season, as well as which underclassmen wind up declairing for the NFL as well. I'd lean toward keeping both and restocking the cupboards, though, cause things are looking a little bare in NE right now, especially at the WR position.

and linebacker

and O-line

i tend to agree 2 picks is most always better then one

hopefully we have our QB and RB of the future already, and with these 2 later picks it should mean less money spent signing them which is good

Re: Two First Round Picks

Lets see how the NE Patriots' front office decides to use the picks.

Re: Two First Round Picks

It really all depends on the draft next year...who is available...and what receivers develop for them this year...etc...

Nice to have the picks...but Franchise players are usually in the top 10 if that...

Anyone hear that the Patriots gave one of their practice squad players a contract worth over $400K?
