Sam Keller tranferring to Nebraska

ESPN has been reporting that Arizona State QB Sam Keller, who was briefly the Sun Devils starter before being abruptly replaced by Rudy Carpenter, may wind up transferring to Nebraska. I assume that Keller, a senior, would then petition the NCAA for an extra year of eligibility, right? So would you Husker fans like to see Keller playing for your favorite team?

Re: Sam Keller tranferring to Nebraska

Keller played at ASU as a true freshman and has a redshirt to burn this year. He will likely start for the Huskers next year after Zac Taylor graduates, especially with Harrison Beck out of the picture. I personally like Keller a lot and believe he will fit into Callahn's system perfectly. We are talking about a QB that started as a freshman, was among the top passers in the nation the last 2 years, and only lost his starting job at ASU last year due to injury. Keller has a strong arm and is game tested. His teams at ASU always scored a lot of points but ASU has had terrible defensive teams under Dirk Koetter. Huskers defense should give Keller a chance to win in every game he plays next year.

He would have to sit this year but would be eligible to play next year. He is a very good player and Nebraska is lucky to get a guy with his experience. He has a funky delivery, but it works for him.
