Nebraska plays both Texas and USC this year. How will they fare, in both of those games and overall in the Big 12?

This schedule is unique in that it features both teams from last years BCS title game. However, both USC and Texas lost their QBs and have question marks entering this season at that key position. Optomistically speaking, the Huskers have a shot at winning every game on the schedule, but realistically they likely lose one or two in conference. Either Texas, Texas A&M(in Aggieland),or at Iowa State are the most likely loss possibilites. I feel pretty confident that the Huskers can take USC as they search for answers to fill the vacancies left by Leinart,Bush,White,etc.

Ha ha! Just bustin' your chops. For some reason, I'm really looking forward to the Nebraska - USC game. One of those rare match-ups of traditional nonconference powerhouses that we so rarely get to see in college football these days. USC seems to be on the decline a bit, so its definitely not a guaranteed 'W' for them. The Huskers certainly have a shot at the upset.

These two teams last met in 1970 to open the season. USC was defending national champs I believe at the time and heavily favored in LA. The game ended in a tie and was the only blemish on the Husker schedule that year as they went on to win their first national title. It won't end in a tie this time but should still be a very competitive game.

Yeah, my Vols somehow sneak this pansy team from Nashville on the schedule every year and it's an easy win... o wait, they gave us a whoopin at home last year....
