Nebraska Cornhuskers pro day

More than a dozen former Husker football players showcased their physical ability and football skills for NFL scouts on Wednesday afternoon at Nebraska's Pro Day at the Hawks Championship Center... Among the players performing for the scouts were the five Huskers who participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis last month--defensive ends Adam Carriker and Jay Moore, linebacker Stewart Bradley, quarterback Zac Taylor and running back Brandon Jackson.

Re: Nebraska Cornhuskers pro day

Defensive end Adam Carriker registered20.5 sacks and 134 tackles in 45 career games for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was chosen as the 2006 Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year, following a season in which he compiled 52 tackles and a team-leading seven sacks. The 6-foot-6, 290-pounder possesses tremendous strength and versatility, making him one of the most complete defensive ends entering the 2007 NFL Draft.

Last week I had my Pro Day on March 7 at Nebraska and I think I did really well. I pretty much just ran the 40-yard dash and did some position drills. I ran the 40 in 4.72 seconds which was much better than what I ran at the combine so that felt good. We also did long sprints down the field while being asked to do spins or touch the ground to see how we move at full speed. On top of that we also did some extensive bag work to test our hand technique and skill. I weighed in at 291 pounds and measured a height of 6-6.

There were roughly 10 Nebraska players working out with me, including the other three starting defensive linemen from last season. We had about 60 people with at least 20 NFL teams represented there watching. And the thing about Pro Day is even though there are a ton of people there watching your every move, I wasn't really trying to figure out who was there. I was more focused on doing my drills and performing well.

I did happen to notice St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan and their defensive coordinator and D-line coach in attendance. They were actually the only coaches there that I talked to. Instead of doing a sit down interview like they do at the combine, they caught me after my Pro Day workout and we just talked for about 10 minutes about defenses and what I bring to the table.
Adam Carriker, DE - 3/15: Carriker has been shooting up draft boards. Find out how he performed at his recent Pro Day. | DRAFT DIARY | NFLPLAYERS.COM
is Carriker going in the first round ?

seems like he has great size and quickness.......i think id like the Pats to draft him
