Huskers @ Cyclones

This game was billed as the one most likely to decide the Big12 north during the preseason. Now maybe Missouri has entered the mix as well but this will still be a huge game for these two teams. Iowa State fans have this and the Iowa games circled on their schedule every year and Ames, Iowa will be loud and rowdy this saturday.

Nebraska has played outstanding in some games this year and looked downright bad in others. The offense never even tested the USC secondary and the defense was lit up by a mediocre Kansas team. Iowa State barely beat Toledo at home and required OT to put them away while giving up 43 points. They also blew a lead against Iowa and allowed the Hawkeyes to take over late with 17 unanswered points as Iowa won 27-17. They had narrow wins over UNLV and Northern Iowa as well making this team look very unimpressive. I expect to see both offenses have success and the team that manages to avoid turnovers likely will win the game. I am going with the Huskers to win this one on the road and regain the momentum the team had going into the Kansas game.

Nebraska 45
Iowa State 28

Hey everyone, don't forget -- Correctly predict the winner and the final score of the Nebraska - Iowa State game, and you could win FREE FOOTBALL TICKETS! Check out the official contest thread for rules and more information, then post your prediction today!

I think I'll take the Cornhuskers in a close game, 38-35. Expect the Cyclones to play 'em tough.

Huskers get the win 28-14 in Ames. Cody Glenn and Brandon Jackson both rushed for more than 100 yards as Nebraska dominated time of possesion. A nice win for the Huskers as they head into Manhattan next week to take on Kansas State.
