| Catching Up With Vinny Del Negro RALEIGH, N.C.– Sidney Lowe’s first piece of advice to NC State’s latest NBA head coach is fairly simple – make the right pick. Of course, that might be easier said than done for former Wolfpack hero Vinny Del Negro, who was named head coach of the Chicago Bulls less than two weeks ago. All Del Negro has to do is make sure the Bulls choose the right player with the top pick in the June 28 draft, whether it’s Kansas State forward Michael Beasley or Memphis State guard Derrick Rose. Lowe, twice a head coach in the NBA, recommends Beasley, just because Del Negro inherits a team that is already fairly well stocked with young guards. But Lowe also recognizes that the Bulls are already stocked with young players hungry – and ready – to be successful in the league.
