Hickson delivers: Freshman sparks Pack to 69-66 win
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.

A little yelling and taunting wasn’t about to shake N.C. State’s J.J. Hickson.

Hickson, a freshman, was on the road in the rugged ACC, but calmly sank two free throws with 9.6 seconds left and then blocked a layup attempt by Toney Douglas at the other end of the floor yesterday to boost the Wolfpack to a 69-66 win over Florida State.

“He just stepped up there and knocked them down,” Coach Sidney Lowe of the Wolfpack said.
