Cool NBA Finals Predictions

I'll take the Mavs with the home Court. I think they're going to run Miami out of the building. So I'll say: Mavs in 6. Look for Riley to play at a snails pace and have the Heat really play physical - sort of like those Knick teams of the early 90's.

Got to go with my boy Dirk Nowitzki...Though I think the Suns would have run more against the Heat.

Re: Finals Predictions

Come on, you guys are picking against the team that took down the mighty Pistons? Oh, wait... Dallas did kind of have to deal with that Spurs team, didn't they. Rumor has it they're pretty good. Still, my gut's telling me that the Mavs won't be able to hang with Shaq and Wade, so I'll go with the Heat in seven games.

Your gut should tell you that when The Pundit and I are on the same wave length, that it's a done deal...we are soooo opposite, that we only come together on sure things...

Gotham: I don't think we're so opposite. Maybe on certain things...But anwyay, you know this for sure: When Nowitzki goes to the basket, Riley is going to order someone to foul him and hard so next time he drives he thinks twice. How will Dirk react to that?

Just messing with Lefty... I mean, you did come around to see that Becky Hammon is worth cheering for...

He will take a few steps back and hit a pair of threes and the lane will open uo again...

Re: Finals Predictions

It will definitely be a difficult fight to win between the top teams in the Association. I think the Heat have to watch their fouls, but I predict the series will come down to five games.

I'm picking the Heat to go on top.

Re: Finals Predictions

I'm on the Lefty, MJHMarc and Sportsfan team. I'm taking the Heat. Looking back at the series with the Pistons, they should have finished them off in five not six. And looking back at the Dallas/Suns series, I'm not sure Dallas should have won game six so...Heat in...seven.

Re: Finals Predictions

I like Miami's chances, how can a team with Shaq on it be an underdog?

Re: Finals Predictions

Sportsfan, it really depends on which kind of Shaq shows up. If it is the 1990s and 2001 Shaquille O' Neal then the Heat will definitely win. But if it is last year's Shaquille O' Neal, then I will have to think about it.

The Dallas Mavericks have one key player, named Dirk Nowitzki. If the Heat can contain Nowitzki from scoring big (like in Truman Doctine), then they will win the series in no-time.
