Lebron goes "off"!!!

I didn't catch the game but, I caught the highlights.

Lebron played the game of his life last night the best I can tell. I believe I heard that he scored that last 25 points for the Cavs. But, watching the highlights, he was going off!

This brings a little excitment back to the playoffs for me. I'm not into the NBA like I used to be, mostly because the officiating is so inconsistent. I estimate that they contribute about 30% to the outcome of the game. They should only be there to manage the game, not influence the outcome.

I do understand however, that the Cavs have been here before. Up 3-2 on the Pistons only to lose in 7. We'll see what happens but, I wouldn't mind seeing the Cavs in the finals. Who's going to stop the Spurs is the real question.

Re: Lebron goes "off"!!!

I really think that Lebron played one heck of a game last night. It might have been his best game in his whole career. I have a feeling that he'll keep the same intensity that he played with and play in Game 6 like that too. The Pistons seem to have no answer for him and they are supposed to be a really good defensive team... But I'm happy with the result of the game. Hopefully, it's Cavs vs. Spurs in the Finals.

It also helps him when he gets a foul called against the pistions everytime he drives to the basket. There is no answer when a guy either makes a dunk or gets a foul called.

I hear you. The officiating in the NBA is purely a crap-shoot. They can call it, or not call it, or don't call it, or will call it - it's really all up to them. Again, I think the NBA zebras contribute about 30% to the outcome of the game. They should only manage the game, not influence the outcome.

That's why im not a big NBA fan. The ref's influence the game too much. The pistons did miss a lot of shots they should have made in game 6, but I dont think the ref's helped. A lot of the calls they made were little grabbing fouls. Everytime you saw a piston after the ref's called a foul they were complaining about the call. They never did that in the regular season or in the first two series. Thats got to say something. I'm not saying the ref's were the reason why the pistons lost, but they sure were a contributer.

Re: Lebron goes "off"!!!

One thing I don't like about the NBA or NCAA is that they go for layups at the beginning and in the last 30 seconds they try to cram as many three-pointers as they can.
that's not a very good strategy because every team I've seen uses it. Players should alternate between layups and threes to keep the score balanced.
But lay-ups have a higher chance of going in and you have a higher chance of getting fouled.
But if someone fouls you when you are in "mid-shot" then you get 3 free throws...
