Three NASCAR Nationwide Series teams and another in the Truck series have been penalized for infractions last week at Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR said Thursday.
Blake Bainbridge, crew chief of the No. 09 Ford driven by John Wes Townley, was fined $15,000 and placed on probation until June 30, the sanctioning body said in a news release. The infractions were said to have been discovered during opening-day inspections on Feb. 10.
Team owner Jay Robinson was docked 100 owner points, while Townley lost 100 driver points.
George Bartlett, crew chief of the No. 84 Chevrolet driven by Mike Harmon, was fined $10,000 and placed on probation until June 30 for infractions in the use of chassis weights that NASCAR said were discovered in opening-day and post-race inspections on Feb. 14.
Team owner/driver Harmon lost 25 owner points and 25 driver points for each infraction, totaling 50 points in each category.
Michael Hobson, crew chief for the No. 0 Chevrolet driven by Danny O’Quinn Jr., was fined $5,000 and placed on probation until June 30 for violations found with the left-front spring.
Owner Johnny Davis was penalized 25 owner points and O’Quinn forfeited 25 driver points due to the violations, which were found during post-race inspection.
In the Truck series, infractions found Feb. 13 prompted penalties against the No. 33 of driver Ron Hornaday Jr. Unapproved modifications to shock absorbers were cited by NASCAR.
The driver was docked 25 points and owner DeLana Harvick lost 25 points due to the violations. Crew chief Rick was fined $5,000 and placed on probation until June 30.

Re: Suspensions for Daytona infractions

I should have looked at this soone so I could have adjusted the two class standings. I'll just adjust them when I post the updated standings for this weekend.
