I'm announcing my desire to have a predictions thread for the Nationwide Series during the 2009 season.

It will work like the Sprint Cup predictions thread: everyone chooses which drivers they believe will finish 1-2 in the upcoming race. If you correctly choose the winner and runner-up, you get a permanent member title upgrade. If you choose the winner but miss the runner-up, you get a 1 month member title upgrade. And if you only get the runner-up correct you get an honorable mention.

The reason I said "desire" is I need someone to run the thread (I'll even give you an "official title" so there's no mistake who's doing the work and getting the credit!) There's not a lot of work, but there is some: you have to put up the thread by Monday before the race. (You can use Team Yates Sprint Cup predictions thread for a guide. But you can go way past what she does if you're creative ) After the race, you tabulate the winners and post which member won what. You also need to keep a record of all winners so that at the end of the season we can recognize them. A piece of paper is the simplest, but you might want to think about alternative ways to keep the record.

So, I need 2 things right now:
1) If you think you'd like to take a shot at it, PM me.
2) even if you don't want to run the thread, I'd like to hear from everyone about whether you think this is a good thing, and if so, if you'll participate.
