F Scott Nichol broke his left thumb. he was scheduled to have surgery yesterday.
He will be out for the series vs. the red wings.
They are hoping F legwand will be back, recovered from his foot injury. It'll be a game-time decision, says coach trotz.

game number 2 today starts at 2 on tsn up here in canada (eastern time), nbc down there.
won't interfere with the habs/bruins game - i like when they work according to my schedule. it's rainy here now so in front of the tv watching hockey sounds good to me.

Nashville evens it up and what a game. detroit makes in 3-2 minutes later, by banking it off a nashville player, but this only after bonk hits theppost on detroit's side TWICE.
This is a good game.

so detroit wins i 4-2 but I thoroughly enjoyed that game - 3rd wasn't as exciting as the 1st and 2nd, but nashville is no pushover.
Arnott's had 1 shot in 2 games and he is now as captain on their 4th line. but radulov, erat, bonk, tootoo are all playing full force.
I called this series as a nashville upset for fun but now that i watched some - detroit is just too defensive, too neat, too controlled - they will win this series but it's no breeze.
Nashville has become one of my well liked teams. Young Ellis is inspiring.
They're spunky.

I must admit, as well - I think the Predators logo is one of the fiercest in the league.
